Once you\u2019ve completed doing these and you\u2019re happy with your copy, just click the \u201cGMass\u201d button (and not the \u201cGmail Send\u201d button).&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are three different ways to get that&nbsp;\u201cCompose<strong>\u201d<\/strong>&nbsp;window with your big list of email addresses.&nbsp;Each method has its own advantages and disadvantages.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"1-the-gmass-build-email-list-button-technique\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"1_The_GMass_%E2%80%9CBuild_Email_List%E2%80%9D_button_technique\"><\/span><strong>1. The GMass \u201cBuild Email List\u201d&nbsp;button technique<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re familiar with Gmail, you\u2019ll be acquainted with how you can search through your email and chat interactions using the\u00a0\u201cSearch\u201d\u00a0bar functionality. Use it to find a list of matching interactions. Now, use the GMass\u00a0\u201cBuild Email List\u201d button to collect all the email ids within those matching interactions (in the\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong>From\u201d<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>and\u00a0<strong>\u201c<\/strong>To\u201d\u00a0lines).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For instance, if you\u2019d like to send a <em>mass email<\/em> to those contacts with whom you\u2019ve interacted about \u201crecent arrivals\u201d, just search for the phrase \u201crecent arrivals\u201d in my Gmail account, and then click the GMass\u00a0\u201cBuild Email List\u201d\u00a0button. This will immediately come up with a list of all those email ids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In case you want to have all of your contacts in your <span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">mass email<\/span> sending list, search with a commonly occurring word like \u201cthe\u201d, \u201cyou\u201d, \u201cfor\u201d, or \u201cof\u201d. Since almost every mail will have these words, the&nbsp;\u201cBuild Email List\u201d&nbsp;button will come up with an email list of all the email ids in your account.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve built your email list this way, a\u00a0\u201cGmail Compose window\u201d having all the IDs in the\u00a0\u201cTo<strong>\u201d<\/strong>\u00a0line will open. Now, write a personalized\u00a0Subject<strong> <\/strong>and Message, and then click the GMass\u00a0button. This will send your email to every address on the list.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advantage of this technique is that it is easy to do, can be performed through the Gmail interface, and doesn\u2019t require importing\/ exporting. Its disadvantage is that you may not successfully find all the email ids in your account. Further, the search functionality is restricted to a maximum of 5,000 messages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-the-google-contacts-method\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"2_The_Google_Contacts_method\"><\/span><strong>2. The Google Contacts method<\/strong><span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In this method, you\u2019ll be using&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/contacts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Google Contacts<\/a>&nbsp;using the&nbsp;Google Contacts Interface&nbsp;to filter out some or all of your contacts. Here\u2019s how you do it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, select&nbsp;\u201cContacts\u201d&nbsp;in the Gmail interface\u2019s upper-left menu. Then, go to the list of Contacts. Use the checkbox tool to select all of the contacts, and then tap on the&nbsp;\u201cEmail\u201d tab. However, this will select only the contacts on the page you\u2019re currently in. For collecting the other pages of contacts, you need to do those page by page.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now launch Contacts from within Gmail. After this, type your email message and click the \u201cGMass\u201d button (not the \u201cSend\u201d button). This will send your <strong>personalized mass emails<\/strong> to all recipients.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There\u2019s another method where you can launch Google Contacts in another window. Here, you need to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.google.com\/contacts\/ \" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">visit<\/a> straight in the browser. This technique isn\u2019t as favored as the previous one as selecting too many contacts will lead to the failure of the <strong>\u201cEmail\u201d<\/strong> button.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advantage of this <strong>mass email sending techniqu<\/strong>e is that it\u2019s easy to do. Further, if you go by the Google Contact method, you\u2019ll enjoy the benefit of sending a mass email to just the preferred segment of people as Google Contacts are usually grouped into logical segments of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The con is that if you select a lot of contacts at once, you\u2019ll be shown an error message rather than the launching of the Gmail Compose window. Further, it displays only 250 contacts per page and doesn\u2019t allow you to select Contacts across different pages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-the-google-docs-spreadsheet-method\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"3_The_Google_Docs_spreadsheet_method\"><\/span><strong>3. Here is how you do it.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>First, go to&nbsp;\u201cGoogle Contacts<strong>\u201d<\/strong>, then select some or all of your contacts there to a&nbsp;CSV file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Then, select&nbsp;\u201cExport\u201d&nbsp;and then select those Contacts to export. Now, upload the CSV file into a spreadsheet in Google Docs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Once you\u2019ve created the spreadsheet, delete the irrelevant, empty columns. This will help remove extra data in your spreadsheet that can hinder processing by GMass.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, connect to the spreadsheet using GMass. The \u201c<strong>Compose<\/strong>\u201d window will launch. It\u2019ll have all the email ids in its\u00a0\u201cTo\u201d<strong>\u00a0<\/strong>line. In case there are over 1,000 ids, GMass will consolidate those into an \u201calias\u201d id, representing all the chosen ids.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Now click the GMass button to send a personalized email to all the IDs in the \u201cTo\u201d line. If you end up clicking the Gmail Send button instead of GMass, it will send the email to all recipients, revealing all the ids in the \u201cTo\u201d line to one another.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The advantage of this method is that you can mass email to<strong> <\/strong>every email id in your Google Contacts. However, not all email addresses you\u2019ve sent\/received an email to\/from maybe your Google Contact.
